Canadian Fertilizers Limited (CFL) owns the Medicine Hat Nitrogen Complex,
Canada's largest nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing facility, providing vital nutrients
for farmers throughout western Canada and the northern-tier United States.
Each year, this clean, modern facility produces more than 1,200,000 tonnes of
anhydrous ammonia, including amounts upgraded to some 735,000 tonnes of
granular urea. The complex employs approximately 180 people on a full-time
basis, as well as contract maintenance personnel, and is an important part of
the Medicine Hat community.
